Nine.

Mostly just keeping a cat warm.

It’s been a busy week here on the Front Range. The weather finally feels like late fall. The mornings are often in the 20s and with the wind it can feel much worse. I prefer the cold but it’s taken me some time to transition this year.

Trying an experiment today. Here are 9 moments from a chilly Monday.

1. JB always needs to be held at the start of my work day. Sometimes I wonder what it is I really do for a living.

2. A very acrobatic squirrel on the back deck packing it in for winter.

3. Reading Bill Bryson over lunch - we disagree about moose.

4. Meeting Frankie after school - it was cold and she let me know.

5. Warming JB while attempting to finish out the day.

6. Celebrating the end of the work day.

7. I really didn’t feel like going on the group run.

8. It was a fast group - much faster than me - but I still managed to lead all the way up the first climb. Gotta warm up somehow.

9. A hot shower, pjs, and a stocking cap. Still took a long time to warm up.
