This is stunning! I always say you can't fill a page if you come to your desk empty, but You could also say that you can't be refilled if you're not prepared to let go of everything...
It's my absolute pleasure Mark! I can't begin to tell you how much I'm enjoying your work. Immediately after I read one of your pieces yetserday, I sent the link to my girlfriend. Called her up and told to stop what she was doing and look at it! I'm enamored by anything that brings together words and images. The marriage of the two is the impetus behind everything I try to do. And, you do it exquisitely. Your art and your writing both exhibit a palpable degree of graciousness and honesty. The fact that it exists on paper, that it emerges from ink, that it's tactile, and tangible, means the world to me. Sorry to bombard you with so much, I just wanted you to know how much I appreciate what you're doing. Looking forward to reading more!
I loved these zines, especially the one with your daughter. And this is the third time that book 'The creative act' comes up, I think it's a sign I should buy it?
Substack complaines about email length occasionally, it seems that it has to do with image size as well. But we can always click to read the rest on the site, so just keep on sharing all this good stuff!
I feel like a broken record with how much I've been talking about The Creative Act. Maybe it was just a case of "right book at the right time" that it happened to resonate so well with me - but yeah, you should def give it a try. I was hooked pretty quickly.
Oh, I didn't see anything from you about that book before, I think. But others posted about it recently even though it's not a new book. I'll definitely check it out, if anything, it displays nicely :D
That’s clever!

Thanks Duane - letting go and just being prepared for whatever comes really has been a game changer for me.

That’s very kind of you Duane. Words and images do have a sort of alchemy don’t they?
It's a magical amalgamation for sure.

Thought I mentioned it here recently but perhaps not - at least my friends are all sick of hearing about it :P
This is wonderful, so much inspiration in one post!
